Well, it's been 2 months since I posted...maybe I finally have something to say?
Lets start with the holidays. Spent time with the family in Sherman. Had fun with Jayden. Kids are great at Christmas. Got a new IPOD, great gadget to have around. Didn't take enough time off for work. During December got to meet players from the Cowboys, Rangers, Alabama, and the Stars.
Hmm, January busy, busy at work. We have to finish with all the Christmas madness which takes a lot of time! Got to see some friends I hadn't seen in quite a while. Very sad about the Colts loss in the playoffs...2007 I feel a ring in Peyton's future!
February, besides the unseasonably warm weather it's off to a great start. Enjoying watching the Olympics. TV is great, I love Sunday nights! Every Monday at work we have to have a 30 minute discussion about Grey's. We all love George and are on the look-out for a boy like him at CMC! Lots of hard things happening at work. In my position (working with kids admitted for traumas) I see a lot of horrible accidents. Somedays I wonder how anyone makes it through childhood! All of you out there with kiddos- buckle them up, have you carseat checked, make them wear helmets, and be careful on the monkey bars! Okay enough of that soap box! I did enjoy Valentines Day, lots of fun treats at work, flowers arrived from my folks (thanks mom and dad), and received lots of reminders of being loved by many!
I will end with a fun story from the hospital...this is for you Leslie!
In our hospital we have different playrooms kids can go to. The playrooms provide a chance for kids to be kids, they get to socialize, have some normalcy and have fun. Last week while I was facilitating playroom I had this young may (probably. 4ish). He was having a blast. I got out his huge box of pretend tools and he went to town. I looked up a few minutes later and he had the tool belt on (full of hammers), the yellow hard hat, a mask, and was holding a saw in his hand. The tool belt with all his hammers was even making his pants slide down! Anyway, he was in his own little world and every few minutes he would sing, "I'm Bob the Builder". It was pretty funny and sweet. Kids are the best!
